REQUIREMENTS
We strive to be more than a boarding kennel and want all dogs to enjoy the country atmosphere and be able to play with other boarders. Therefore, we do not board dogs that are aggressive or that may pose a risk to other dogs or humans.
ALL DOGS MUST BE ON A LEASH AND CATS IN CARRIERS. With your permission we will allow your dog to play with another dog while supervised. They go outside 4-6 times a day.
VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS: All Dogs and Cats boarding with us must have proof from your veterinarian that your pet is up to date on all required vaccinations. Vaccinations are to be given by a licensed veterinarian only.
Dogs:
- Rabies
- Distemper/Parvo
- Bordatella (Kennel Cough)
- Bordatella nasal must be in their system 3-5 days before boarding.
- The Bordatella shot is 10 days to 3 weeks depending upon your veterinarian.
Puppies:
- Distemper, must have all three shots
- Bordatella
Cats:
- Rabies
- Distemper
- Feline Leukemia (Highly recommended)

- E-mailed to: joandtim@sunsetpetretreat.com, or bring them with you.
First time customers, we have to have the papers before boarding your pets.

Food:
Dogs: We recommend that you bring their own food as it will not upset their tummy. Please bring food in a hard container and have it labeled.
Cats: Please bring their own food. We provide the litter, litter pans and dishes.
ALL PETS MUST BE ON A TOPICAL OR ORAL FLEA AND TICK PREVENTATIVES.
SPECIAL NEEDS: Dogs with special needs will have private play time if required (e.g. senior dogs, dogs on low activity following surgery, etc.).
MEDICATIONS: Make sure all medications are labeled with the amount to be given and how many times a day. Bring some type of food or pill pockets to put their pill or capsule in. We provide peanut butter. Diabetic shots are $1.00 for each shot given.
TOYS, BEDDING AND TREATS: You can provide washable rugs and/or blankets as they will be more comfortable with their own, providing they will not destroy them. Please keep in mind that there will be times when your pet is unsupervised in their kennel. Your pets safety is important to us, please only bring items that will not cause harm to your pet while unsupervised.
